Three identical rooms on a quiet upper floor — each with its own door, attached bath, and a balcony that looks straight into the Western Ghats.
We built it the way we like to travel — slowly, with a balcony, a hot drink, and not much of a plan.
"A house held in mist. Three rooms on a quiet upper floor, each with its own door, its own balcony, its own slice of the valley."
We sit fourteen kilometres up the Gap Road from Munnar town, on the NH 85 ribbon that climbs through cardamom and silver oak. The air here is cool year round; on most mornings the valley vanishes under a slow, milky cloud and reappears by lunch.
The Homestead was built around how we like to travel — slowly, with a balcony and a hot drink. The three upstairs rooms share a common living room on the same floor — sofas, a view, no agenda. Come for a long weekend; leave the city behind.
All three rooms share the same layout, the same finish, the same view. Pick a number, or take the whole upstairs.
Queen bed, attached bath, private balcony with views over the tea slopes. Separate entry from the courtyard stair.
Queen bed, attached bath, private balcony with a wide view of the Western Ghats. Identical to Rooms One & Three.
Queen bed, attached bath, private balcony catching the early sun. Same footprint and finish as Rooms One & Two.
Identical by design — same queen bed, same attached bath, same private balcony. You won't go wrong with any one of them.
Nothing flashy. The kind of amenities that matter once you're actually there.
The house, the rooms, the balcony, the valley. We'll keep adding.
Chokramudi's trailhead is a two-minute walk from the gate. Everything else is a short drive. We'll happily draw you a route.
A misty stretch of NH 85, above the town, below the tea estates. Exact pin shared after booking.

"The location and property is amazing, but what made the experience truly outstanding was the warmth and hospitality from the entire host family. Special thanks to Mrs Thomas for waking up early and preparing breakfast since we had an early departure. Would love to come again."
